Bob Barefoot taught AP* Calculus for 30 years at Chaparral High School in Arizona. He is currently teaching Calculus at Scottsdale Community College. He is an Arizona recipient of the Presidential Award for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics, the Radio Shack Award for using technology in the teaching of mathematics and the Siemens Award for Teaching Advanced Placement Mathematics. He was a reader of the AP* Calculus Exam for nine years, a consultant to the College Board for 20 years, and has conducted numerous workshops for high school calculus teachers. This will be his tenth year at Stanford.
 

BC Syllabus 2012

In this workshop we will address all of the topics exclusive to the Calculus BC curriculum. We will put special emphasis on Power Series and Taylor Polynomials including the Lagrange Error Bound. Other topics include Improper Integrals, L'Hopital's Rule, Integration by partial fractions and Logistic Growth, Parametric and Polar Equations. A graphing calculator is required and will be used extensively.
